About Me

If I lived somewhere warmer, I might be a beach bum.

Hi, welcome to Graceful Simplicity: Finding the Enchantment in Everyday Life. There are many versions of simplicity, and it is often thought of as plain or austere living. That’s why I love having the adjective graceful come before it. Graceful implies a beauty of movement, form, expression, and artfulness. It is intentionally leaving out all that stuff that isn’t authentic so that there is lots of room for all that is. Grace also happens to be my first name. The more I embrace this path, the more ordinary enchantment I find. I live for the simple pleasures and moments. It fuels a creative and soulful life, the steady stream of serenity through all of life’s wondrous complexities.

I enjoy writing and learning about nature and natural contemplation (gardening, country living, mindfulness, yoga, and spirituality). I am not an expert in any of these areas, but I like to share as I learn; therefore, my writing will be personal and practical.

Things that make me happy: cooking/baking and eating good food, swimming, hiking, camping, yoga, literature, watching my garden grow, second-hand shopping, belly dancing,  and blogging!

The blog orginally got its start over here.
